Dragon Builder is a dollmaker-type “game” where you can mix-and-match, randomize, and select colors and pieces to build your own custom dragon image, which you can use as the basis or reference for a character, as an icon or avatar for social media, or in any other non-commercial way you like.
All of the art and coding for the Dragon Builder is done by me!
Dragon Builder uses JavaScript and HTML5 to run and works on most browsers.
The Dragon Builder uses 11 separate JavaScript files, 118 HTML canvas layers, and thousands of individual PNG images (we’re nearing 5,000 at time of writing!).
I’ve spent many years slowly improving the Dragon Builder from its very first iteration in which you could only use 27 different colors. While the base art is getting a bit old by my personal standards, I plan to continue adding components for as long as I can, keeping the Dragon Builder as an ongoing side project.
