You want to make a dragon, right? You’re in the right place!
I have my own Dragon Builder that you can use here, but I love all dragons, not just the ones I drew! I’ve been obsessed with dragon character creators back when they were called “dollmakers” and I’m thrilled that there are so many options today.
These are links to dragon character builders made by other people (not by me!) that I’ve used and enjoyed as a dragon connoisseur!
Picrews
Picrew is a Japanese platform that allows artists to create simple dollmakers intended as custom profile pictures. It’s accessible from mobile devices, no login required, and free to play – however, Picrew has a lot of ads, especially on mobile, and will bully you into watching more ads after you’ve visited a few pages. I sometimes find it difficult to use the platform because my phone is so overwhelmed with ads. It also doesn’t have any logic for matching colors, meaning you’ll spend a lot of time digging through the options to find the color-match for other pieces.

Meikers
Meiker.io is a free platform that allows users to create dollmaker/dress-up games without any coding knowledge. The interface is less mobile-friendly than Picrew, but it has more complex logic than Picrew, allowing it to automatically match the colors of parts. Sometimes it freezes up and forces you to reload the page.
Custom Built Creators
These are dragon character builders that don’t use a specific preset platform – they might take longer to figure out how to use or may work unpredictable on some devices. However, they usually can do more in terms of features and some are even 3D!
Dragon Creator

A fully 3D dragon you can rotate! Takes some time to learn how to apply the intended colors (tip: select the color FIRST, then click the part you want to recolor). You can also download this Unity game locally to play offline.

Flight Rising Scrying Workshop
Flight Rising is a browser-based dragon breeding and fighting game, similar to Lioden, Wolvden or Wajas. You play as an entire clan of dragons, which come in a variety of breeds. You cannot customize individual details, as you are restricted to the breed of each dragon, and in-game, you must breed or purchase dragons with specific colors or traits. The only way to freely design a dragon using the game’s tools is to use the Predict Morphology feature of the Scrying Workshop.
